LAKESIDE UPPER DECK GALLEY
Elevated entertaining with concealed luxury and panoramic views in Muskoka.
This custom installation transforms the rooftop of a Muskoka boathouse into a sophisticated entertaining hub. The layout takes full advantage of the open-air setting and panoramic views of the water.
The galley provides a dedicated space for beverage service and food preparation that allows the host to remain part of the conversation while guests relax on the deck.
Moving beyond traditional cottage aesthetics, we utilized Alumina Architectural Surfaces for a bold, modern industrial look.
The oxidized steel finish of Dekton Trilium contrasts with the timber deck, creating a striking visual anchor.
Durability is critical for a kitchen located on an exposed upper deck. The Alumina cabinetry system is paired with Dekton surfaces to withstand the harsh lakeside climate. The surface is also highly resistant to UV light to ensure the rich ones of the Trilium finish will not fade over time.
The galley achieves a streamlined look by keeping the functional elements out of sight. The Alumina Architectural Surfaces system allows for fully integrated appliances that disappear behind the cabinetry facades.
A Sub-Zero outdoor refrigerator and ice maker are concealed within the run of cabinets. This approach preserves the clean architectural lines of the installation while offering the full convenience of a wet bar and cold storage.
